A great way to extend the living area of your home is to expand it into the out-of-doors. Creating open air rooms gives you space to entertain, relax, and enjoy your property. These homeowners loved their old house but needed some fresh updates, beginning with replacing a decrepit patio whose bricks were being dislodged by a giant maple tree. “The Home Outside folks really challenged our thinking on every aspect of this project,” the client said. “I shudder to think were we would have ended up if we hadn’t worked with Home Outside.” They loved their designer’s recommendation to use large Goshen stones edged with cobbles. The new patio footprint was curved to allow plenty of space for the magnificent maple and its shade-loving underplantings.
