This Vermont garden designed by JMMDS (the landscape design firm that owns Home Outside) features plantings in a limited color range. The drama and visual interest come from the interplay of heights, shapes, and textures. Cream-colored peonies with yellow interior “eyes” (Paeonia ‘Krinkled White’) float above lady’s mantle (Alchemilla mollis), whose blooms fall gracefully over the path into the garden. Creamy panicles of goatsbeard (Aruncus dioicus) float above it all.
