This Kit Includes

  • Amelanchier x grandiflora ‘Autumn Brilliance’ (Autumn Brilliance serviceberry) A plant for all seasons, this North American native hybrid has natural beauty and ecological significance. Spring brings white, bee-filled flowers and by late summer, the birds start flocking to its edible berries, especially the cedar waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum). Autumn will bring a rich array of red-orange foliage and winter will reveal the smooth, muscular bark of its trunks. This plant is host to red-spotted purple (Limenitis arthemis) and viceroy butterflies (Limenitis archippus). Happiest in moist, fertile soils, this multi-stemmed tree can also tolerate a wide range of soils and conditions.
  • Miscanthus sinensis ‘Little Kitten’ (Little Kitten maiden grass) This small, arching fountain grass is perfect for smaller gardens. With inflorescences that emerge late summer, its sun-catching plumes are not only attractive, but drought and salt tolerant and low maintenance.
