- Hydrangea arborescens ‘Invincibelle Ruby’ (Invincibelle® Ruby Hydrangea (Smooth Hydrangea) This cultivar of an eastern Unites States native, was developed for its burgundy pink flowers. Best in part shade or sun with evenly moist soils, this plant grows naturally in the protected woodland setting, where it is a host plant to the Hydrangea sphinx moth (Darapsa versicolor) and the Hydrangea leaf-tier moth (Olethreutes ferriferana). Blooms will emerge on new wood and last all season. Use as a cut or dried flower or leave blooms to ornament the garden until winter. more info
