This Kit Includes

  • Hydrangea paniculata ‘Jane Little Lime’ (Little Lime panicle hydrangea) Like all panicle hydrangeas, Jane Little Lime is easy to grow, producing flowers on old and new shoots. Neat and clean in spring, this medium shrub emerges with green leaves and forms green flowers that fade into cream midsummer, and mature into deep pink or maroon by later summer or fall. This flower looks great paired with dark foliage or anything with a hint of rose.
  • Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Pop Star’ (Endless Summer® Pop Star™ Hydrangea Shrub) This dwarf hydrangea produces blue lacecap flowers that shift color with the pH. Want pink, add lime to increase alkalinity.
  • Muhlenbergia capillaris (pink muhly grass) Native to the western and central United States, this fuzzy, pink grass is tolerant of droughty conditions, salt, and poor soils but also at home in the garden collection. Very low-maintenance, its inflorescence will provide months of color, even into winter. Additionally, this grass is known to provide cover for small birds and to attract beneficial ladybird beetles (Coccinella spp.) to the garden. more info
  • Ilex ‘Nellie R. Stevens’ (Nellie Stevens holly) This tall, conical broadleaf evergreen serves as a lovely vertical specimen or dense, effective screen, depending on the needs of the space. Great as a clean green backdrop, this holly can be pollinated for decorative red fruit with the addition of a male (Ilex ‘Edward J. Stevens or other Ilex cornuta male). This plant is known for its heat tolerance but acid soils are a must for this and most other hollies. more info
  • Juniperus horizontalis ‘Wiltonii’ (Blue Rug juniper) Native to much of the US, this creeping groundcover forms a dense, evergreen mat over infertile soils and rocky outcroppings. Tolerant of low water situations, this plant is a great choice for rock gardens.
